  • Helping pupils understand lesson content, instructions, and vocabulary

  • Assisting teachers in adapting learning materials to suit a range of language abilities

  • Encouraging students to participate, ask questions, and build confidence in both spoken and written English

  • Helping create an inclusive environment where all languages and backgrounds are valued

We're Looking for Someone Who

  • Is patient, calm, and able to communicate clearly

  • Can build positive relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds

  • Is adaptable and comfortable working across different subjects and age groups

  • Ideally has experience working with children or young people (school-based or community experience helpful but not essential)

  • Speaks another language (desirable but not required)

  • Is friendly, reliable, and eager to learn

What You'll Get

  • A long-term opportunity within welcoming and diverse Northampton schools

  • Weekly pay at competitive rates

  • Free access to over 2,500 CPD-accredited courses through Tradewind's National College - including EAL strategies, safeguarding, cultural awareness, behaviour support, and more

  • Ongoing advice and encouragement from an experienced consultant

  • Opportunities to progress into roles such as EAL Specialist, Pastoral Support, Learning Mentor, or Teacher Training

If you're passionate about helping young people feel understood, confident, and able to succeed, this could be the perfect role for you.
