  • Unit Leadership: Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the Behaviour Unit, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

  • Behaviour Intervention: Design, implement, and monitor highly personalised, intensive behaviour and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) intervention programmes.

  • De-escalation and Crisis: Act as the senior expert in de-escalation and crisis management, modelling effective therapeutic and restorative strategies for all unit and academy staff.

  • Safeguarding: Work closely with the DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) team, managing complex student welfare cases and ensuring robust safeguarding practices within the unit.

  • Reintegration: Develop and manage successful reintegration pathways, setting clear targets and providing staff coaching to ensure students make a smooth and sustained return to the wider school.

  • Data and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on behaviour data, intervention effectiveness, and outcomes, providing regular feedback to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Governors.
