Year 5/6 Teacher - Blacburn with Darwen
Location: Blackburn with Darwen
Start date: January 2026 - July 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Salary: £140 - £200 per day (depending on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming Primary School in Blackburn who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to join their team. The school is proud of its strong community values and nurturing ethos, where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential in a caring and inclusive environment.
The successful teacher will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire pupils and promote a love of learning across the curriculum - particularly in reading, writing and maths. You'll create a stimulating classroom environment where children feel valued, supported and motivated to succeed.
This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT who is passionate about making a difference. The school welcomes teachers who can uphold and promote their strong values and ethos, and who bring creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to every lesson.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching across the Primary phase.
Plan and assess effectively to ensure progress for all pupils.
Foster a positive, safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff.
Promote the school's ethos of respect, care and community.
Actively contribute to wider school life and enrichment opportunities.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Strong classroom practice and a passion for primary education.
Ability to motivate, inspire and engage learners of all abilities.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience in KS1 or KS2, or within a faith-based school setting, would be an advantage, but is not essential.
