A forward-thinking secondary school in Islington is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them in January 2026. If you're a recent graduate considering a future in teaching, psychology, mentoring or youth support, this is an ideal opportunity to build real school-based experience.
You'll work across a range of subjects and support learners both in class and during small group sessions. Every day will offer a new opportunity to help students develop confidence and achieve their goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students during lessons and interventions
- Helping with small-group academic support
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and routines
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in any subject
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is proactive and willing to get involved
- Has experience with young people (formal or informal)
