A specialist provision in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire is looking for a SEN Teacher to join their nurturing environment, designed for pupils with complex communication needs. With small class sizes, specialist TA support and a warm, inclusive culture, this school provides the perfect setting for a teacher passionate in supporting special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Create a supportive, nurturing and structured learning environment for children with a range of SEN.
Use a variety of SEND-appropriate teaching strategies, resources and communication methods (e.g., visual supports, sensory tools).
Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records to inform planning and reporting.
Work closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality support and personalised learning.
Implement behaviour-support strategies that promote emotional regulation, communication and independence.
Promote social skills, communication and functional life skills through structured activities and play-based learning.
Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that meets the sensory and emotional needs of young children.
Requirements Include:
- QTS (preferred)
- Experience with SEN and/or Early Years
- A creative, practical and nurturing teaching style
- Enhanced DBS Check with subscription to the Update Service
