SEMH Teacher - KS3/KS4 | Full Time | Start: January

Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working with a caring and inspiring SEMH specialist school in Greenwich who are seeking a dedicated KS2/KS3 Teacher to join their team from January.

About the School

This nurturing setting supports students in KS2 and KS3 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Although the students are secondary age, they are working towards a primary-level curriculum in core subjects, allowing learning to be delivered in a highly personalised and accessible way.

The school prides itself on offering a warm, therapeutic, and creative environment with a strong focus on emotional regulation, social development, and building confidence. The Role

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

  • Teach core subjects based on a primary curriculum to KS3 and KS4 learners

  • Deliver creative, therapeutic and nurture-based sessions to support holistic development

  • Help students regulate emotions and build social skills

  • Plan and support community trips that enhance learning beyond the classroom

  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, supported by experienced teaching assistants

Requirements

  • QTS / QTLS or significant relevant teaching experience

  • A genuine passion for SEMH provision and trauma-informed practice

  • Strong behaviour management and a nurturing, patient approach

  • Ability to tailor learning to a wide range of needs

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
