English Teacher - Kingston (SEN School)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, term-time only (January - July 2026)
Salary: M1-M6 (dependent on experience)
Key Stages: KS3 & KS4 English
Class Size: Approx. 10 pupils
Location: Kingston (easily accessible by car, bus, and train)

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming SEN school in Kingston that supports pupils with moderate learning difficulties. The school prides itself on a nurturing, supportive environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join the team, teaching KS3 and KS4 students. You will work in a friendly, collaborative setting, helping pupils achieve their potential through engaging, differentiated lessons.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Primary or Secondary
Full, up-to-date CV and two recent teaching references
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Proof of right to work in the UK, photo ID, proof of address
Teaching qualification evidence
Overseas police checks if applicable
SEN experience not essential, but enthusiasm and adaptability are key
The Ideal Candidate:
Patient, open-minded, and passionate about supporting students with additional needs
Confident in behaviour management with a calm, nurturing approach
Skilled at differentiating lessons for varied abilities
Able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
Creative, motivated, and encouraging in their teaching style
Maintains high expectations while fostering an inclusive, supportive environment
