Primary School Behaviour Mentor - KS2

Tradewind Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Hackney to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work across Key Stage 2.

This role is ideal for an experienced Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant with a strong interest in behaviour support and pastoral care. You will work closely with pupils who require additional support to engage positively with learning and school life.

The Role:

  • Providing targeted behaviour and emotional support to KS2 pupils

  • Working 1:1 and with small groups to support behaviour, regulation and engagement

  • Supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom

  • Implementing behaviour support strategies in line with the school's policies

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children in a primary school setting (KS2 experience desirable)

  • Has experience supporting behaviour, SEMH or pastoral needs

  • Is calm, resilient and confident in managing challenging behaviour

  • Is patient, empathetic and consistent in their approach

  • Works well as part of a wider pastoral and teaching team
