Job Title: School Caretaker (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Secondary Schools across Lewisham
We are seeking a reliable, proactive and committed School Caretaker to join our team, working full-time across a number of secondary schools in Lewisham. About the Role
As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school sites, ensuring that buildings and grounds are well maintained, secure and fully operational for students, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and securing school buildings, including alarm systems
General maintenance, minor repairs and health & safety checks
Ensuring the site is clean, safe and well presented at all times
Monitoring contractors and deliveries
Supporting with room setups for events and school activities
Responding promptly to site-related issues and emergencies

What We're Looking For
Previous caretaking, site management or facilities experience (preferred but not essential)
Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently
Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a school community
