Pastoral Support Worker

Secondary Schools | Lambeth
Full-time | 5 days per week

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically? We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join a number of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Lambeth.

This is a rewarding full-time role, ideal for someone who is committed to making a real difference in students' lives and is looking to develop a long-term career within education.

The Role

As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group pastoral support to students

  • Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges

  • Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and safeguarding leads

  • Act as a consistent and positive role model within the school environment

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school culture

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, SEN, or pastoral setting (desirable)

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Passion for supporting students' mental health and wellbeing

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion

  • Reliable and able to commit to a full-time, 5-day-per-week role
