Job Title: Behaviour Mentor (SEMH)
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £90 - £130 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, starting in January.
This full-time role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who can provide structure, consistency and positive behaviour support within a nurturing and well-managed setting.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support for pupils with SEMH needs
Support pupils to manage behaviour, emotions and social interactions
Implement behaviour strategies, risk assessments and personalised support plans
Use Team Teach strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour safely and effectively
Promote positive engagement with learning and routines
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams
Act as a positive role model, offering clear boundaries and encouragement
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Team Teach training and experience (essential)
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
