Job Title: Behaviour Mentor (SEMH)
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £90 - £130 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, starting in January.

This full-time role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who can provide structure, consistency and positive behaviour support within a nurturing and well-managed setting.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support for pupils with SEMH needs

  • Support pupils to manage behaviour, emotions and social interactions

  • Implement behaviour strategies, risk assessments and personalised support plans

  • Use Team Teach strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour safely and effectively

  • Promote positive engagement with learning and routines

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams

  • Act as a positive role model, offering clear boundaries and encouragement

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

  • Team Teach training and experience (essential)

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
