SEND Teacher - SEMH (Secondary)
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: £150-£250 per day (PAYE)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join a specialist secondary SEMH setting in Enfield from January.

This role is suited to teachers with proven experience in SEMH, PRU or specialist SEND schools, who are confident managing challenging behaviour and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to small classes.

The Role:

  • Teach small classes of pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH and complex needs

  • Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons

  • Apply trauma-informed, relationship-based approaches

  • Manage behaviour confidently using clear boundaries and de-escalation strategies

  • Work closely with Behaviour Mentors, LSAs and SEN staff

Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS

  • Experience teaching in SEMH, PRU or specialist SEND settings

  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills (Team Teach desirable)

  • Calm, resilient and adaptable approach
