About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established school in Blackburn to recruit a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences for young children in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Purpose of the Role

As an Early Years Educator, you will support the development of children's social, emotional, and cognitive skills through engaging activities and play-based learning. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure every child thrives and reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to Early Years developmental needs.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding progress and concerns.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements (EYFS).
  • Model positive behaviour and uphold school policies.
  • Attend parent events, staff meetings, and training sessions for CPD.
  • Support the senior team to achieve strong inspection outcomes.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 2 qualification (Essential).
  • Full and relevant Level 3 qualification (Essential).
  • Post-qualification experience (Essential).
  • Understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures (Essential).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults (Essential).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise (Essential).
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and child welfare (Essential).
  • Paediatric First Aid and CPD (Desirable).
