Immediate Start - 1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS2)

£90 - £100 per day | Full-Time | Temporary
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

An exciting opportunity is available right now for a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding primary school in St Albans. This role is starting ASAP and offers the chance to make a genuine, lasting impact on a child who needs consistent, compassionate support.

You will play a vital role in helping a KS2 pupil thrive both academically and emotionally, working closely on a one-to-one basis while being an active part of a supportive classroom team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs

  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing

  • Support positive behaviour and learning routines

  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider school staff

  • Contribute to classroom activities and learning across the curriculum

  • Promote independence, resilience, and positive relationships

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with additional or behavioural needs

  • Be calm, patient, resilient, and nurturing

  • Be genuinely passionate about making a difference

  • Build strong, trusting relationships quickly

  • Be flexible and willing to support across the classroom when required

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
