The Role

As a Pastoral Leader, you will be at the heart of student support-guiding, mentoring, and advocating for pupils who need it most. Working closely with staff, families, and external professionals, you will help students overcome challenges, build resilience, and stay engaged in their education.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where no two days are the same and your work directly changes lives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality pastoral, welfare, and wellbeing support across multiple academy sites

  • Support students with behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies

  • Deliver targeted interventions and mentoring programmes

  • Accurately record, monitor, and report student progress using ICT systems


About You

  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE A-C / 9-4 or NVQ Level 2)

  • Proven experience supporting young people with SEMH needs

  • Outstanding communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach

  • Resilient, proactive, and genuinely passionate about student wellbeing

  • Willing and able to work across current and future trust sites
