Design & Technology Technician - Harrow
Location: Harrow, North West London
Start Date: ASAP / September Start
Contract: Full-time | Term-time
A well-resourced secondary school in Harrow is seeking a Design & Technology Technician to support the smooth running of the DT department, including workshops and classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons
Maintaining machinery and ensuring safe storage of tools and resources
Supporting teachers during practical lessons when required
Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Managing stock levels and ordering materials as needed
Assisting with displays, coursework preparation, and exams support
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience working in a DT workshop or similar practical environment
Knowledge of health & safety procedures (COSHH, risk assessments)
Practical skills in areas such as woodwork, metalwork, electronics, or resistant materials
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach
