Science Technician - Chemistry Graduate | South West London

Location: South West London (Schools across Richmond, Kingston, Wandsworth, Merton)
Start Date: ASAP / September Start
Contract: Full-time / Part-time | Term-time
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on experience)

Are you a Chemistry graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in school science labs? We are working with a number of schools in South West London seeking a motivated Science Technician to support their Chemistry and broader science departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials, chemicals, and equipment for Chemistry lessons and practical experiments

  • Support teachers during laboratory demonstrations and practical activities

  • Maintain, clean, and safely store lab equipment

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, COSHH, and CLEAPSS regulations

  • Monitor and manage stock levels of chemicals and consumables

  • Assist with record-keeping, lab organisation, and classroom setup

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Chemistry or related science subject

  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety and practical chemistry

  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Passionate about inspiring young people in science

  • Previous school or lab experience is a plus but not essential
