IT Technician - Secondary Schools (Lewisham)

Full-time | 5 days per week

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join our friendly and forward-thinking team, supporting a group of secondary schools across Lewisham.

About the Role

As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of IT systems across multiple secondary school sites. You will provide technical support to staff and students, assist with hardware and software maintenance, and contribute to the ongoing development of the schools' IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-line IT support to staff and students

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems

  • Support classroom technology, including interactive whiteboards and devices

  • Assist with system upgrades, installations, and asset management

  • Ensure IT systems operate securely and efficiently

  • Work collaboratively with school staff and wider IT teams

About You

  • Previous experience in an IT support or technician role (education experience desirable but not essential)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach

  • Ability to work across multiple sites and manage competing priorities

  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude

  • A genuine interest in supporting learning through technology
