We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Art / Design & Technology Technician to join a range of inclusive and supportive secondary schools in Lewisham on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting creative subjects and enjoys working in a dynamic school environment. You will play a vital role in enabling high-quality teaching and learning across Art and DT departments.

The Role

As an Art / DT Technician, you will:

• Prepare, maintain, and organise materials, tools, and equipment for lessons

• Support teachers during practical sessions to ensure smooth and safe delivery

• Maintain workshops and classrooms, ensuring health and safety standards are met

• Assist with displays, exhibitions, and departmental projects

• Manage stock, ordering, and general technical support for the department

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with Art and/or Design & Technology materials and equipment

• Is organised, proactive, and able to work independently

• Has a strong awareness of health and safety procedures

• Enjoys working with young people and supporting their creative development

• School-based experience is desirable but not essential
