A highly regarded SEN-focused secondary provision in Amersham, Buckinghamshire is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their specialist team. This setting supports students with a wide range of needs, from mild learning difficulties to complex SEN.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work across whole-class settings, 1:1 support and small intervention groups. This role also offers opportunities to work across partner mainstream secondary schools.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students with diverse SEN needs
- Assisting teachers within specialist classrooms
- Delivering personalised 1:1 learning support
- Encouraging independence and emotional development
- Collaborating with therapists and SEN professionals
Ideal Candidate
- Experience within SEN or care environments (preferred)
- Passion for inclusive education
- Calm, resilient and nurturing approach
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
