Job Description
We are seeking a SEN Teacher to join our specialist Primary SEN school in North Lincolnshire, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Learning Disabilities. Our school provides a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment where every child is valued as an individual and supported to achieve their full potential - academically, socially, and emotionally. About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with autism and learning disabilities
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment that supports emotional regulation, communication, and independence
Use a range of strategies such as visual supports, sensory approaches, and alternative communication methods
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents/carers, and external professionals to support holistic development
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and individual learning plans
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional wellbeing
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
Has experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly autism and/or learning disabilities (desirable but not essential)
Is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is reflective, flexible, and committed to ongoing professional development
Understands that progress may look different for every child - and values every step forward
