SEN Teaching Assistant
Age Range: Reception
Location: East Dulwich, South East London (excellent transport links)
Start Date: ASAP - July 2026
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £90-112.90 per day, increasing after 12 weeks
About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis in a welcoming primary school in East Dulwich, Southwark.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young learners with special educational needs and is committed to providing tailored support to help them thrive.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child in a reception class
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Help deliver structured and sensory-based activities to help re-engage pupil
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the children's emotional, social, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress and communicate with staff and parents regarding their development.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs
- Good understanding of SEN and a positive attitude to bright light to the school day
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual student needs.
