Location: Harrow, North West London
Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Experienced Teaching Assistant
Salary: £115-£125 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only

The Role - Higher Level Teaching Assistant

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary school, with a particular focus on EYFS, while also working across other year groups. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing targeted classroom support in EYFS and across Key Stages 1 and 2

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and providing class cover when required

  • Supporting pupils' academic progress and social development

  • Creating engaging, inclusive, and purposeful learning environments

  • Maintaining positive behaviour management and classroom routines

  • Adapting confidently to different classes, subjects, and learning needs

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold HLTA status, or have extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant with the confidence to lead classes

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective communication skills

  • Be enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil achievement

  • Have experience working across primary year groups, including Early Years (EYFS)

  • Be flexible, reliable, and passionate about primary education
