Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary school in Chester, supporting pupils in Year 5 and Year 6.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping older primary pupils thrive academically and socially, both in and out of the classroom.

The role is working full time from 8:30am to 3:30pm working alongside the KS2 team to support the reintegration of a number of pupils back into school. You will be required to do interventions with these pupils, offering support with core subjects following the teachers guidance.

This role is due to start as soon as possible and will continue up until Easter 2026.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils in Year 5 and 6 with their learning across the curriculum

  • Working with small groups and on a one-to-one basis where required

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

  • Providing targeted support to help pupils build confidence and independence

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

To be considered for this role, we will need -

  • Proof of Right to Work, this could be your Passport or Birth Certificate.
  • A CV that covers 10 years of education or employment.
  • A fully enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to process one with us. (We will refund the cost of the DBS)
