Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a friendly and welcoming primary school in Chester to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 teacher who is keen to make a positive impact during this crucial stage of pupils' education. The school has a supportive leadership team, well-behaved pupils, and a strong focus on both academic achievement and pupil well being.

The role is covering an absent teacher from now up until Easter 2026. The role is full time which requires working hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday with a dedicated morning for PPA time. The school are looking for someone with strong behaviour management, experience in KS2 and someone who can be committed to a long term role.

The Role:

  • Full responsibility for a Year 6 class, including planning, teaching and assessment
  • Preparing pupils for SATs in a positive and supportive environment
  • Working collaboratively with the KS2 team and senior leadership
  • Creating an inclusive, engaging and well-managed classroom

To be considered for this role, we will need -

  • Proof of Right to Work, this could be your Passport or Birth Certificate.
  • A CV that covers 10 years of education or employment.
  • A fully enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to process one with us. (We will refund the cost of the DBS)
