Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a range of specialist provisions, alternative provisions, and mainstream schools with behaviour and nurture units across Greater Manchester. We are seeking a dedicated and resilient EBD Specialist to support children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD/SEMH).

The role:

As an EBD Specialist, you will:

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with emotional and behavioural needs

  • Build strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and progress

  • Support de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour interventions

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups inside and outside the classroom

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with EBD/SEMH or challenging behaviour

  • Is calm, resilient, and confident managing behaviour positively

  • Has a strong understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practices

  • Is passionate about inclusion and emotional wellbeing

  • Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check and suitable references
