Behaviour Mentor

Full-time | 5 days per week
Location: Secondary Schools across Merton

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential? We are seeking a committed and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work full-time across a range of inclusive and supportive secondary schools in the London Borough of Merton.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students who require additional behavioural, emotional, or social support.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs

  • Support students both in and out of the classroom to promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model

  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to implement behaviour support strategies

  • Help students develop self-regulation, resilience, and confidence

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with young people in a school or youth setting (secondary age preferred)

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable or at-risk students

  • An interest in progressing within education, pastoral care, or SEN
