Job Description
We are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team at an SEN school in Scunthorpe, working with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and additional complex needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support KS3 and KS4 students in their learning, both 1:1 and in small groups
Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and practical activities
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social development
Support students with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and other additional needs
Help with emotional regulation, communication, and personal care where necessary
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships
Communicates effectively with students, staff, and parents
Works well as part of a team and follows school policies
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
