Job Description

We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in busy, diverse secondary schools across Hackney. These schools serve a wide range of students, including pupils with SEN, EAL, and additional pastoral needs.

This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting students who may need help accessing the curriculum, settling into lessons, or building confidence in a classroom setting.

The Role:

  • Supporting students in lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Working with pupils who have SEN, EAL, or require additional pastoral support
  • Helping manage behaviour and keep students engaged in learning
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
  • Providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with young people in schools or similar settings
  • Is patient, adaptable, and comfortable in a busy environment
  • Can build positive relationships with students from a range of backgrounds
  • Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
  • Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is happy to apply
