Job Description
We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in busy, diverse secondary schools across Hackney. These schools serve a wide range of students, including pupils with SEN, EAL, and additional pastoral needs.
This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting students who may need help accessing the curriculum, settling into lessons, or building confidence in a classroom setting.
The Role:
- Supporting students in lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Working with pupils who have SEN, EAL, or require additional pastoral support
- Helping manage behaviour and keep students engaged in learning
- Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
- Providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with young people in schools or similar settings
- Is patient, adaptable, and comfortable in a busy environment
- Can build positive relationships with students from a range of backgrounds
- Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
- Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is happy to apply
