Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to be working with a high-achieving secondary academy in Lambeth to appoint a full-time Geography Teacher for a fixed-term role from February to April. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Geography specialist to join a supportive and forward-thinking Humanities department.

The Role - Geography Teacher

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity about the world and develop students' geographical knowledge and skills.

Key responsibilities include:

Teaching Geography across the secondary age range (KS3 & KS4)

Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the curriculum

Assessing, tracking and monitoring student progress effectively

Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment

Working collaboratively within the Humanities department and wider school team

Start date: February

End date: April

Contract: Full-time

Salary: London MPS

Qualifications & Person Specification

The successful Geography Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Geography at secondary level
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour
  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be adaptable, organised and able to contribute positively to school life
