Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Ealing - Full Time - Immediate Start

Location: Ealing, West London
Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Contract: From February half term until July (with potential extension into the next academic year)
Pay: £95-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND TA to work full-time supporting pupils with Autism (ASC) and Speech and Language needs. The position starts after February half term and runs through to July, with a strong likelihood of continuing into the next academic year.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions for primary pupils with SEND

  • Support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech & Language difficulties

  • Help pupils access the primary curriculum and maintain daily learning routines

  • Deliver targeted support strategies alongside the class teacher and SENCO

  • Encourage independence, engagement, and positive behaviour for learning

  • Promote emotional wellbeing within a structured, inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor progress and contribute to SEND support planning

Person Specification - SEND Teaching Assistant

  • Proven experience working with primary-aged children with special educational needs

  • Strong understanding of ASC and Speech & Language support strategies

  • Calm, patient, and consistent behaviour management approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Background in education, SEN support, care work, or child development highly desirable

  • Committed to improving outcomes for children with additional needs

Role Details

  • Working Hours: 8:15am - 3:45pm, Term Time Only

  • Daily Rate: £95-£105 (based on experience and SEND expertise)

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Contract Length: Until July minimum, with possible long-term continuation
