SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, nurturing primary school in Barking & Dagenham.

The school is a mainstream primary school with Additional Resource Provisions (ARP). They are seeing talented Learning Support Assistants who have experience supporting Autism and speech, language and communication needs.

About the role:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support with the goal of helping students access learning materials
  • Encourage social interaction and peer- to- peer socialisation
  • Assist in the development of speech and language with the help of the schools inclusion team

To apply for this position as a learning support assistant, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a learning support assistant/teaching assistant
  • Solid understanding of Autism
  • Solid understanding of speech, language and communication delays
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a positive behaviour support approach
  • Consistent and reliable
  • Calm and patient
  • Ability to build great relationships with children, colleagues and the wider school community
