SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, nurturing primary school in Barking & Dagenham.
The school is a mainstream primary school with Additional Resource Provisions (ARP). They are seeing talented Learning Support Assistants who have experience supporting Autism and speech, language and communication needs.
About the role:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support with the goal of helping students access learning materials
- Encourage social interaction and peer- to- peer socialisation
- Assist in the development of speech and language with the help of the schools inclusion team
To apply for this position as a learning support assistant, you will need:
- Previous experience as a learning support assistant/teaching assistant
- Solid understanding of Autism
- Solid understanding of speech, language and communication delays
- Strong behaviour management skills with a positive behaviour support approach
- Consistent and reliable
- Calm and patient
- Ability to build great relationships with children, colleagues and the wider school community
