Role Responsibilities - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support
  • Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Support communication using visual aids, PECS, or Makaton
  • Assist with sensory regulation and emotional support
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Understanding of autism and complex needs
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to support personal care if required
  • Team player with strong communication skills
