EYFS Nursery Teacher (Full-Time)

We're looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to take on a crucial full-time role leading our Nursery and Pre-School room at a vibrant primary school in Wigan.

This role offers an excellent balance of dedicated teaching time and flexibility!

The Role Commitment:

This is a guaranteed commitment starting Week Commencing 13th April 2026 for one term, this could be extended for the right candidate. The fixed hours require you to work a full days every Monday to Friday

Core Responsibilities:

As the lead teacher in the Nursery setting, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering work and marking before leaving.
  • Ensure the classroom is safe and tidy before starting and leaving for the day.
  • Team Leadership: Working collaboratively with, and promoting respect amongst, the dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistants.
  • Creating a Safe Environment: Maintaining a safe, creative, and nurturing learning environment that promotes resilience from the very start of a child's journey

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience within the EYFS phase (Nursery/Pre-School experience is essential).
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating inspiring learning opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A firm understanding of the current EYFS Statutory Framework.
