Start Date: September 2026
Contract: 1 Year Maternity Cover
Inner London Pay Scale M1-M6 (£206.75-£268.21 per day PAYE)
SANZA Teaching Agency are working closely with a welcoming and forward-thinking independent primary school in Islington to recruit an experienced Year 6 Teacher for a full academic year maternity cover starting September 2026.
This supportive and creative school delivers a rich, engaging curriculum that allows pupils to flourish academically and personally. They are seeking a confident Upper KS2 Class Teacher with strong KS2 experience who is passionate about guiding pupils through their final year of primary education.
The Role
The successful Year 6 Teacher / Upper KS2 Class Teacher will:
Deliver high-quality, engaging KS2 lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-year expectations and SATs
Plan and deliver a broad and creative curriculum as a dedicated Year 6 Teacher
Use assessment data to track progress and raise attainment across KS2
Provide strong pastoral support as an empathetic Upper KS2 Class Teacher
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across KS2
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement as a confident Year 6 Teacher
