An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Product Design to join the Engineering Department at a leading independent school in Richmond.

The Engineering Department is unique within the school, delivering a continuous curriculum from Year 5 through to Year 12 across both the Prep and Senior Schools. The department offers three specialist subject areas: Product Design, Systems & Control, and Electronics. It also boasts a thriving co-curricular programme, including Robotics, Motorsports, and Space. The school's Motorsports team, Firefly, are the current International Engineering Champions in the Greenpower Competition.

A strong culture of safety underpins all practical work, and staff are supported in achieving a range of DATA training accreditations.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Product Design to students aged 9-16 (up to GCSE level), with a focus on stretching and challenging the most able learners. The role also includes contributing to the department's enrichment and co-curricular activities.

  • DATA certification in Secondary Core Health & Safety (or willingness to obtain this)
