The Role - Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant

As a Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver small-group and one-to-one maths interventions

  • Support pupils with numeracy, problem-solving, and confidence in maths

  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support progress

  • Adapt interventions to meet individual learning needs

  • Track progress and provide feedback where required

  • Support pupils across KS1, KS2, or KS3 (role dependent)

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant

  • Strong numeracy skills and confidence supporting maths learning

  • Experience delivering or supporting maths interventions (desirable)

  • A flexible, proactive, and patient approach

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
