Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Year 4 (Oldham)

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural needs. This is a rewarding role where you will play a crucial part in helping a child access learning, develop positive behaviours, and thrive within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver consistent 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with complex behavioural challenges
Implement effective de-escalation and behaviour management strategies
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and follow an individual support plan
Encourage academic engagement and maintain focus and motivation
Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and interventions
The Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or challenging behaviour
Team Teach trained (or willing to undertake training)
Calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to supporting both emotional well-being and academic progress
Flexible and adaptable in response to changing needs
