SEN Teaching Assistant
Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a small, independent secondary school near Putney Bridge. The school is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support Year 9 pupils with dyslexia, ASD and ADHD.
This school offers a mainstream-style curriculum delivered in small classes of 3-8 pupils. The focus is on engagement, personal development and enrichment rather than exam-driven outcomes. Pupils benefit from a structured, nurturing setting designed to build confidence, independence and a positive approach to learning.
Role Details
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Dyslexia & ADHD)
Location: Fulham (District Line and local bus routes)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:25am - 3:30pm (Term time only)
Start Date: 23rd Feb 2026 - July 2026
The Role
Deliver 1:1 and in-class support across a range of subjects, prioritising access to learning over exam performance
Support pupils working at pre-GCSE/foundation level in English, Maths and Humanities
Assist in practical and creative lessons such as Food Technology, Art, Design Technology and enrichment activities
Lead and support small groups using differentiated and adapted resources
Utilise Google Classroom, Docs and Slides to aid organisation and learning
Collaborate with teaching staff to tailor resources and strategies for pupils with SEND
About You
Knowledge and understanding of dyslexia, ADHD and additional learning needs
Calm, patient and empathetic approach
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Confident using Google Workspace
An interest or experience in creative and practical subjects (e.g. Food Technology, Art, Design Technology, Sport or Gaming)
Graduates are welcome to apply

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK
Two years' references
Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
