Teaching Assistant
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an accomplished and professional Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded Ofsted Rated 'Good' Primary School in Wigan. This is a pivotal role supporting a Year 5 cohort during a crucial stage of their upper Key Stage 2 journey.
The successful candidate will join a stable and supportive staff team from mid-March 2026 until July 2026, with the potential for the contract to be extended into the new academic year for the right individual.

Core Responsibilities
Targeted Academic Intervention: Deliver high-impact interventions in Mathematics and English to support pupils in reaching or exceeding their age-related expectations.
Curriculum Delivery: Work in close partnership with the Class Teacher to implement lesson plans and adapt resources for varying ability levels.
Behavioural Excellence: Maintain the school's high expectations for conduct, fostering a positive and focused classroom culture.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or a degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience within a Primary setting, ideally with specific knowledge of the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
Professionalism: An articulate, reliable, and proactive approach to educational support.
Safeguarding: A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures. A DBS on the Update Service is essential (assistance can be provided if required).
