SEN Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only)
Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester
Schedule: Part-Time (Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 12:30)
Duration: As soon as possible - Ongoing

A welcoming primary school in Leigh is seeking a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to pupils with diverse learning needs. This is a dynamic role where you will move between various classes, ensuring children with additional needs have the consistency and encouragement they need to thrive during their morning core subjects.
The Role
Targeted Support: Work 1:1 or in small groups with children with various needs, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.
Specialist Provision: Utilise the school's dedicated Sensory Room and breakout spaces to help pupils regulate and refocus.
Classroom Collaboration: Move across different year groups to support class teachers during the busy morning periods.
Removing Barriers: Adapt tasks and use sensory or visual aids to help pupils engage with the curriculum at their own pace.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications: A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is required.
Enhanced level child only DBS
Legal right to work in the UK
Professional refs
Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) is essential-this could be in a school, care, or youth work setting.
The "Right" Energy: You are resilient, empathetic, and able to stay calm under pressure.
Proactive Nature: Someone who can spot a child struggling and step in with the right support before they become overwhelmed.
