Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a welcoming and supportive trust of schools in the Sheffield area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and are looking for flexible work across a variety of primary and/or secondary settings.

Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to gain further school-based experience, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons

  • Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support pupils' learning

  • Assist students with additional needs, including SEND

  • Help to manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Provide general classroom support across different year groups

  • Adapt quickly to different school environments within the trust

Assignments may be short-term, long-term, or day-to-day depending on your availability and preferences.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)

  • A positive, flexible and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting students' development

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • The right to work in the UK
