Tradewind are recruiting a qualified Year 4 Class Teacher to start April 2026 in a full-time role (long-term / temporary to permanent opportunity).
This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced KS2 teacher seeking a well-organised school with clear routines, strong leadership, and a focus on high-quality teaching, learning, and pupil progress.

- Outer London pay ranges (M1-M6 £37,870-£50,474)
The Role:
As the Year 4 Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for:
- Planning, preparation and delivery of the Year 4 National Curriculum (KS2) across English, Maths, Science and foundation subjects
- Assessment, marking and feedback, using formative and summative assessment to inform next steps and support progress
- Teaching Year 4 reading comprehension, writing composition, and maths fluency (including times tables / multiplication facts)
- Supporting pupils towards age-related expectations using adaptive teaching, scaffolding and challenge
- Strong behaviour management, positive classroom culture, routines and high expectations
- Working collaboratively with colleagues on year-group planning, moderation, pupil progress and intervention
- Inclusive practice for SEND, EAL, pupils eligible for PP, and those requiring targeted support
- Upholding safeguarding expectations in line with KCSIE / safeguarding responsibilities
What We're Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
- Experience teaching Year 4 / Lower KS2 / KS2 (or strong placement experience for ECTs)
- Secure understanding of the National Curriculum (Key Stage 2) and Year 4 expectations
- Confident planning, assessment teaching to accelerate progress
- Strong communication, teamwork and collaboration across KS2
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and child protection
