Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a thriving secondary school in Lambeth that is seeking a talented and creative Teacher of Art to join their team on a full-time basis starting in April 2026. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate Art specialist who is committed to inspiring students and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Art lessons to students across Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 / Sixth Form and Year 13 / Sixth Form. You will plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that encourages creativity, experimentation and technical skill development. The role will include assessing and monitoring student progress, supporting students to achieve their full potential, and contributing to the wider creative life of the school through enrichment opportunities and exhibitions.
Key responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Art examinations, assessing and tracking pupil progress to inform teaching, contributing to curriculum development within the Art department, and supporting whole school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification and possess a degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject. You will demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities. A successful Teacher of Art will have excellent classroom management skills, strong organisational abilities, and a genuine passion for creative education.
