Physics Teacher
A large secondary school based in Hillingdon is looking for a Physics Teacher.
The school is seeking someone to start in April 2026 on a long-term contract until at least July 2026.
This position is full time, although the school may consider strong part-time applicants. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS depending on experience.
The school has available parking spaces for staff.
Physics Teacher - Hillingdon, London
* Deliver engaging and high-quality Physics lessons across Key Stages, helping students develop strong scientific understanding and analytical skills.
* Encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for science by making complex physics concepts accessible and relevant to real-world applications.
* Plan creative and structured lessons that challenge students of all abilities and support strong academic progress.
* Use a range of teaching strategies and practical experiments to support learning and deepen student understanding.
* Monitor student progress through assessment and provide targeted feedback to support improvement.
* Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring ideas.
* Support students with exam preparation and coursework where appropriate.
* Contribute to the wider science department and support a collaborative teaching culture.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A relevant degree in Physics or a related subject
* Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Approachable, organised and supportive
* Committed to helping students achieve their full potential
