Job Description

This Islington secondary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who actually enjoys being in the thick of school life. You won't be parked at the back of the room - you'll be active, involved, and trusted to support students who need consistency and encouragement.

This role is a mix of classroom support and targeted intervention, working mainly with KS3 students who benefit from extra structure and motivation.

What your days will look like:

  • Supporting students during lessons across core subjects
  • Working with small groups to reinforce learning
  • Helping pupils stay focused, organised, and confident
  • Building positive relationships that genuinely make a difference

This role works well if you:

  • Have experience with young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, mentoring)
  • Are confident communicating with teenagers
  • Want a long-term role, not short-term supply
