Year 6 Teacher - Maternity Cover - South Gloucestershire

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a Qualified Primary Teacher for a full-time Year 6 maternity cover position in a primary school in South Gloucestershire, starting 18th May and continuing until the end of the academic year.

This role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and marking, and would suit an enthusiastic teacher who is confident delivering the Year 6 curriculum. The school is happy to consider Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 6 lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Prepare resources and mark pupils' work in line with school expectations
• Monitor and support pupil progress and attainment
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and strong behaviour management
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• ECTs welcome to apply
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Commitment to supporting pupils during their final year of primary school
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
