Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to work within supportive school settings in the Horncastle area, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may need additional help to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment. Students may have a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The role involves working closely with teachers and support staff to help students engage with their education, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs, or those looking to build a career within education or SEN support.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide classroom support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs
Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to support learning
Assist teachers in delivering adapted and differentiated learning activities
Support students with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
Build positive relationships with students to support their confidence and engagement
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
Requirements
To be considered for this role you should:
Have experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work or coaching backgrounds welcome)
Have experience supporting students with SEN (desirable)
Be patient, adaptable and supportive
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Be passionate about helping young people succeed
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Pay
Competitive daily rate, depending on experience.
