Are you a Year 1 Teacher with experience teaching in Key Stage 1? Looking for a new long‑term role?

We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a maternity cover position based in the heart of Peterborough. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and has a strong, supportive SLT. They pride themselves on being an inclusive environment with a vision to inspire pupils to love learning. The school caters for pupils aged 3-11, offers on‑site parking, and benefits from excellent transport links.

The Role - Year 1 Teacher

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Year 1 in a primary school setting.
• Skilled in planning, preparing, and delivering all core subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
• Able to work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), SENCo and support staff to ensure all pupils receive appropriate support.
• Confident supporting transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1, helping pupils settle and progress smoothly.
• Hardworking, adaptable, and resilient, able to integrate quickly into a new school environment.
• Known for being supportive, proactive, and reliable, hitting the ground running in the classroom.
• Available to provide full maternity cover for one academic year, offering continuity and stability for pupils.
