SEMH Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Camden)

£95 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start

A welcoming and well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team immediately.

The Role

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm) starting immediately and running until July, with the potential to continue into a full-time role from September for the academic year.

You will work closely with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, supporting them both in and out of the classroom.

Daily Rate: £95 per day reviewed after 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour positively
  • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and support plans
  • Help create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in learning
